The Spinfire Standard Charger and Fast Charger are both “smart” chargers, meaning they will not damage your battery if left on for long periods of time.
The charger will also protect the battery from damage in the event of unexpected surges in power when charging.
The Spinfire Standard Charger will safely charge your battery in 11 hours. The Spinfire Fast Charger will charge your battery in 4 hours.
For both internal and external batteries, when charging the battery the charger will show a red light and when charging is complete it will show a green light.
Light Doesn’t Change Green After Charging
If the light on your charger does not change from red to green after the expected charging time, please disconnect the charger and turn on your machine. If the battery bar indicator shows 4 bars then your battery has been successfully charged. If not, this suggests that the charger is faulty, not correctly connected to the battery or there is a wiring issue and therefore not charging the battery.
Light Flashes Green When Charging
If you receive a flashing green light when charging, this is because the chip inside the transformer is faulty. If the light flashes green, but then stops flashing after a few seconds, this indicates that the charger is performing normally. You can ignore the original flashing light. If the charger fails to charge your battery, the transformer may need to be replaced.
Always charge your battery in a dry environment away from any combustible items. We recommend when possible to unplug the charger when charging is complete.
