Converting an internal battery to an external battery

• This article applies only to V1 machines. To identify whether you have a V1, V2, or V2 USB machine, please refer to this article here.

*** Only machines from 2018 and onward are capable of using an external battery. If your machine has a 3 position master switch (0, I and II) then you can use this product. If not, please contact us about obtaining an upgrade kit. ***

If you currently have an internal battery and you wish to make it an external battery, you must first contact us or your local Spinfire supplier to purchase external battery cables and a battery bag. Once you have these items, please follow the steps shown in this video to convert your machine:

Your machine should now be lighter (up to 7 kg) and you can charge your battery while leaving your machine in place (eg, in the car).
