Every Spinfire ball machine is run by software installed on the motherboard. New software versions are released over time as improvements are made, addressing any reported bugs or adding new features to the operations of the machine.
The software version is important to know as it helps answer questions about the machine’s functions and diagnostics in case of any errors.
Newer machines from 2024 have a single processor chip, while older machines have three processor chips that run separate software versions – main, horizontal and vertical. The version of each software can be seen on the LCD screen during the startup of the machine. They appear briefly on the LCD before the motors start running. Recording a short video of the machine’s startup can help in noting down the software versions.
This is how it appears on the LCD for older machines with 3 processor chips (if you have a newer machine, you may only see one version of software):
Note: The above image is just an example and the versions vary depending on the machine’s model.
